I was not old enough during the October Crisis in 1970 to really feel the terror that many Canadians felt: the uncertainty of the future of the country and a feeling of powerlessness to stop the train wreck.

But those are the feelings I have been having for the past few days as I watch the formation of this 'Toxic Trio' ready to take Canada - no matter what the cost. None of these parties could win on their core political platforms just seven weeks ago. I think their supporters would be even fewer today with their new vision for the country.
